The SisterWatch Committee was formed in 2010 following pressure by Indigenous leaders on the Vancouver Police Department to enhance
community communications and engagement. The committee is comprised of female community leaders and representatives from the VPD,
and is co-chaired by a local Indigenous Elder and the VPD Chief.
