Some agencies such as the Vancouver Aboriginal Community Policing Centre have supports for families searching for loved ones.

Consult with investigators before promoting your loved one’s disappearance on social media or with posters. In some instances posters or social media might place your loved one at risk.

Be mindful of who you ask about your loved one, or who you ask to help. There are people in the community who offer to assist with searches who have a history of predatory behaviours.
